The integration of my Wyze devices with my Google Home app has been a fantastic experience, until recently when it stopped working.

My Wyze devices pop up on the Google Home app, but they are tagged as offline when they are clearly online.

This miniature bug seemed to be insignificant at first, but a quick Google search told me this was in fact an issue that has been in the system for a long time.

So I made this one-stop troubleshooting article on how you can fix your Wyze devices not syncing correctly on your linked Google Home.

If your Wyze Google Home is not working, add the Wyze devices to a Home on the Wyze app and relink the Wyze account to Google Home. Make sure the device is updated to the latest firmware. If the issue persists, factory reset the Wyze devices.

Add Home on Wyze App

This is a weird workaround that was dug up by a Reddit user on the Wyze threads soon after they themselves faced issues with their Wyze devices and Google Home.

Fortunately, this works for most users and they were able to get back control of their Wyze devices using Google Home.

After verifying with Wyze Customer Service, it is a combination of the common troubleshooting steps they usually provide, along with a few additional steps.

The issue with Wyze devices not syncing correctly with Google Home has been an issue that has existed since Wyze introduced the integration.

But unfortunately, this has been too insignificant of an issue that Google and Wyze have yet to respond to the bug and take steps to fix abnormalities.

That being said, Wyze does push out firmware updates on a regular basis and has been known to fix small issues without mentioning them in the changelogs.

So the best step you can take in order to receive and fix your Wyze devices not working properly with Google Home is to keep your devices updated.

In order to update the firmware of your Wyze device to its latest available version, simply follow the steps below:

Final Thoughts

Final Thoughts

The integration of Wyze with Google has had its fair share of crusts and troughs, with at one point Wyze being removed from Google's supported services.

Judging from the timeline of reports, it is fair to say that the issues of misbehavior of Wyze devices with Google services were noticed since then.

But all was rectified, and Wyze was added back to the foster of supported third-party services with Google, but the connectivity issues lingered on.

If you still face issues with controlling your Wyze devices with Google Home, then it is best to contact Wyze or Google support.
